Wedding dress alterations typically begin at least three months before your big day, making early purchase a smart choice. Plus, many brides find that having their dress settled makes it easier to plan the rest of their wedding details.

Appointments typically last between 1.5 to 2 hours, based on the type of appointment you select. While we adore children, we understand that a 90-minute appointment can feel like an eternity for them, often leading to restlessness and distractions. Additionally, despite our efforts to make Silk Bridal Easton as safe and comfortable as possible, the nature of a bridal salon includes loose pins, needles, and other small objects that can pose safety hazards. If you’d like to involve your child(ren) in your wedding dress shopping experience, we invite you to bring them to your final fitting, where they can enjoy the full "princess" experience without all the waiting.

Absolutely! We just ask that you wait until you've narrowed down your choices to no more than two dresses. Taking photos of every dress can slow down the appointment, and we want you to have enough time to try on all the dresses you're interested in. Plus, no one wants their phone cluttered with pictures of dresses they didn't like, right?

We suggest wearing a nude-colored strapless bra to comfortably try on any style that catches your eye. Remember, you'll likely need assistance while changing, so leave anything at home that you’re not comfortable being seen in. To avoid accidental damage to the dresses and ensure the best fit, please plan to try them on barefoot.

Most of our sample sizes range from 8 to 24, but we also have samples available in sizes 4 to 30. Don't worry if the sample is too big or too small; we will clip it to give you the best possible idea of how the dress will look in your size.

ORDERING THE DRESS

Yes! Since all of our dresses are available to go home with you the same day, it’s best to be prepared to purchase your gown. Our collection is ever changing. We may not receive the same dress twice. When it’s love at first sight you know it’s right.

Most of our wedding dresses are available for you to take home the same day. If you choose a dress we need to special order, we recommend shopping for it 9-15 months before your wedding date. Many of our designers also offer rush delivery.

Our experienced personal Bridal Stylists will take your measurements to ensure your dress is sized correctly. If you fall between sizes, we will usually order the larger size and have your seamstress work her magic. Keep in mind that your wedding dress size may differ from your regular clothing size. Bridal sizes tend to run small, and different designers use varying measurement charts, so a size 8 in one brand may be a size 10 in another.

Absolutely! All dresses in our in-house collection are available for you to take home that day. If you fall in love with a dress that's not part of our in-house collection, just ask us about rush ordering options—some designers may be able to accommodate this request!

Our dresses are competitively priced, ranging from $1,399 to $2,999. We also have “limited edition” and “discontinued” dresses available starting at $899. When you arrive for your appointment, just let your personal Bridal Stylist know your budget, and she will help you find a dazzling dress that fits within your price range.

Silk Bridal Easton cannot order dresses from collections that we do not feature in our boutique. If another bridal store offers to do this for you, please be cautious, as many designers and manufacturers view this as unethical and may terminate relationships with stores that engage in such practices. As a client of Silk Bridal Easton, you can be confident that you will never be subjected to unethical business practices—it’s simply not our style!

Most wedding dresses are created for a 5'7" woman wearing three-inch heels. Since many of us don’t fit this description, it is possible to order additional length for an extra charge or to have a dress altered to a shorter length. Our recommended seamstresses are experienced in shortening dresses and are happy to help you achieve the perfect length for your gown.

We take your measurements and place orders based on your size at that time. Since our recommended seamstresses frequently alter dresses by letting them out or taking them in a size, gaining 10 pounds or losing 20 usually isn’t an issue. In some cases, we can alter dresses by 3 sizes or more, but this may incur additional charges and will require reconstructing the dress to preserve the integrity of the design.

Most brides pay for their dress in full at the time of purchase; however, we also accept a 60% down payment, including any rush fees, with the remaining 40% due upon the arrival of your dress. Please note that down payment arrangements incur a small processing fee of $50. For dresses with extra length and custom alterations, full payment is required before placing the order.

Most of our dresses are available for brides to take home the same day, so we are unable to offer holds on wedding dresses. Additionally, we have no control over when a designer may discontinue a dress or increase their prices, which means we cannot hold dresses for any reason. To make sure you secure the dress of your dreams before another bride claims it, we highly recommend shopping with your loved ones and having the necessary budget to make it yours.

Yes! With a 60% deposit, we have a great package that lets you store your wedding dress with us and make payments on it for up to 90 days!

Our stylists work hard to make your wedding dress shopping experience memorable and welcome tips (cash, or on your credit card, small gifts, hugs and smiles!) but it is never required!

We understand how difficult these situations can be; however, due to our agreements with designers, we cannot provide refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this policy.
