BOOK AN APPOINTMENT
We know that schedules can get crazy and you can’t always plan everything out, but we recommend that you book your bridal appointment in advance. This ensures that you will get the most personalized shopping experience, and you can relax knowing you have a full slot allowing you the most time and attention to find your perfect dress. Also, if you prefer a more secluded, private experience, you should avoid booking on Saturdays and Sunday's. Weekends are our busiest days. Scheduling your appointment during a week day will most certainly provide you with more space and a more individualized experience.
*Be prepared for how much time you get in an appointment - showing up too early or too late will interrupt other appointments and will take away from the experience for other brides.

DO YOUR RESEARCH
We recommend that you have an idea of what you’re looking for before coming in, but also keeping an open mind to what you might find. Go to Pinterest, blogs, and designer websites/social media to pull images of styles that you are more drawn to, along with other inspirational photos that will help your bridal stylist have a better idea of what you want in your perfect dress. It is also a good idea to establish what your budget is. That way you won’t be disappointed putting on THE dress, and then it being more expensive than you expected. At Silk Bridal Easton our dresses range from $1000 to $3000 with most between $1500-$2200.

THE ENTOURAGE
Bring your best and most supportive entourage! Surrounding yourself with positive people will make your experience even better. Please only bring in the number of people allowed by your appointment type as we have restrictions on occupancy. There is not enough seating or space for too many people, and you don’t want to feel overwhelmed by too many opinions. While we love children, those under the age of 13 are not permitted. It is also completely okay to come to your appointment by yourself! If you have a busy schedule and want to shop on your own time, then go for it! It is also a good idea to come alone if you are easily swayed by other opinions, and want to have the experience for yourself.

UNDERGARMENTS & ACCESSORIES
Bringing the right undergarments and accessories to your appointment will give you a more realistic idea of what your dress will look like on your actual wedding day. We recommend that you bring nude seamless underwear of your preference, what you think you will wear when the day comes. Keep in mind that the stylist will be helping you change, so wear what you would be comfortable with. You will most likely not wear a bra with your wedding dress, but you are welcome to bring a strapless bra, pasties or a stick on bra.
Underwear is mandatory for hygiene reasons.
You want to have the best idea of what your dress will look like on your wedding day, so bringing similar shoes (or the exact shoes if you have them already), jewelry, hair ties/bobby pins, and have your makeup/hair done to an extent. None of those are necessary, but it will add to your experience and help you envision each dress until you find THE ONE.

THE APPOINTMENT
Expect to try on about 5-10 dresses. We do not carry every size of every dress (1 sample size) and we don’t carry them in every color way. BE PREPARED FOR IT NOT TO FIT. Since we don’t carry every size, it is not going to fit you perfectly. The stylist is there to help you see the dress as if it was specially ordered for you. They can work their magic with clips so you can see how the dress would look in your size.
Try not to focus on all of the little details. More than likely, you will absolutely fall in love with a dress, but there will be one tiny detail that you don’t like. Think to yourself, “should this one little thing that no one will notice keep me from getting the wedding dress of my dreams?”. The only thing that matters is the overall feeling you have in that dress. Think about it in the same way you look for a partner - you look for that feeling they give you, not checking off a bunch of boxes.

READY TO PURCHASE
When you are ready to make a bridal appointment, you should also be ready to buy. We know that the excitement sets in, and once you are engaged you want to immediately start trying on dresses. However, you don’t need to make appointments two years before your wedding unless you are ready to buy that far in advance. Don’t feel the need to go to every shop for the fear of missing out or wondering if there is something better somewhere else. When you know, you know. Trust that feeling when you put on YOUR dress.
Start bridal shopping 10-12 months before your wedding. It takes about 6-8 months for your dress to ship, and 2-3 more months for alterations (trust us, it will need alterations). When you have found the dress, you will always be required to put a certain percentage down that day. If you are not prepared to pay the full amount that day, we do offer payment plans. That way you won’t be disappointed and you can leave with the mindset that you found your dream dress, and that it’s one more thing you can check off of the to do list!

....................and some answers to a few common questions!
What kind of parking do you have?
There are several parking lots within the Silk Mill Site. The closest is the lot directly on the left when you arrive from 13th Street.
How long is my appointment?
It depends on the type of appointment you selected. Complimentary appointments are 1.5 hours and Premiere appointments are 2 hours. It also depends on whether you're a quick decider or prefer to linger a bit in front of the mirrors. WE typically have back to back appointments so it will be important to stay on time. Quick tip: eat before you come dress shopping. It's more work than you think (some dresses are heavy!) and hungry brides can become cranky brides. Eat, please!
Who should I bring to my appointment?
Bring the closest friend or family member whose opinion you value the most and with whom you want to share the experience of buying your gown with. Please limit your "entourage" to 3 people or less as we are a small shop and can’t accommodate large “entourages”. We've found that a group of three or fewer is a good number; more than that and the multiple opinions can be difficult to please (and not everyone remembers that the bride's opinion matters most). If you would like to bring more than 3 people we do offer a bride plus 7 person appointment however these brides usually have a tougher time finding their dress because of all the differing opinions.
Can I bring children to my appointment?
Due to the nature of our merchandise and the experience we strive to provide, children under 13 should not be brought to an appointment.
What size gowns are available for me to try on?
We have tons is stock in the 8-20 range. We also have many designer gowns in our boutique from 20-30 for our brides in that range!
What are the price ranges of your gowns?
Silk Bridal Easton has a wide range of dresses to choose from. Our dresses range from $1000-$3000. Most are between $1500 and $2200. We also have a sale rack where you can get a designer gown for less!
Which designers can I find at Silk Bridal Easton?
We carry a variety of wedding gown designers, including some nationally known brands and some smaller Indie designers. We also have our own exclusive collection, Lovely by SBE. We regret that we are unable to give price quotes over the phone or email.
Which styles can I find at Silk Bridal Easton?
Silk Bridal Easton wedding gown styles range from informal beach wedding dresses to amazing, blingy ball gowns, and everything in between.
How often do you get new gowns?
We receive new gowns every week. Gowns are ordered throughout the year to ensure we have the most current collection of gowns in the Lehigh Valley area. You are sure to be surprised by the diversity of our selections, as well as the prices.
May I take pictures of the gowns while I try on dresses?
Yes you can! However we ask that you wait until it's the gown you love. Taking pictures of every single dress is not necessary and detracts from your appointment time.
You don't have a dress in your store that I saw online or in a magazine, can you order it for me?
As long as we carry the collection of the designer for the dress you saw, we can order it for you. We can order from the entire collection for the designers we carry. This does not apply to cash and carry gowns.
Does every bride cry when she finds "the gown"?
You might not cry -- and that's OK. You've probably heard from a friend or family member that you'll know you've found the right dress when it brings tears to your eyes. But trust us -- that's not the case for every bride. Given that you're trying on dresses that aren't quite the right fit (see above), you can't expect yourself to get misty-eyed in the fitting room. If you do cry, great! But if you don't, it doesn't mean you haven't found "the one." Don't put that pressure on yourself!
Does your salon offer alterations?
Silk Bridal Easton does not offer in house alterations but has a list of recommended seamstresses that we work directly with.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes we do! We require a 50% deposit and then 3 equal payments over the next 3 months.
There is a $50 payment plan fee for this service.
What payment options do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, cash and checks.
HELP! I'm getting married in less than 4 months - is it too late to get a gown from you?
No, it's not too late, but every second counts! You will need to work with a consultant to determine which designers can meet your time frame, which could include an additional rush charge. We also offer a wide selection of gowns that can be purchased at a discount off-the-rack.
What is your refund policy?
We're unable to issue refunds due to the uniqueness of each dress.
Will you ship my gown for me?
Yes! We can ship a dress anywhere within the United States for you. Shipping fees apply.
Do I have to wear a mask?
We do not require you to wear a mask if you are vaccinated.
